I live in that big Canadian rectangle. It's called Saskatchewan. DST means we see American TV channels an hour before the same shows come on Canadian stations.

we are alike in so many ways. i woke up this morning and cecily said it's actually later than we think and i immediately went blue in the face and started screaming 'THAT CAN ONLY MEAN %$!!@#!! DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME IS %###!!!!! HERE! THEM &%&!!~@@ BUREAUCRATIC %%$!!!# WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN %$%%!!!!-UP MY LIFE WITH THEIR POMPOUS NATURE-ALTERING FIATS AGAINST THE LAWS OF GOD AND THE UNIVERSE WITH THEIR %@@!$!!! SELF-DEIFYING....." and on and on and on at the top of my voice. Cecily had long since left the room.

If anybody could show me one single well-documented study that proves DST is good for something, maybe I wouldn't be so grumpy.

I tried saving daylight in a jar one time but it leaked out that night.
