So Long, Hulu

Hulu to Charge Users in 2010 : TVBizwire : TVWeek - Television Industry news, TV ratings, analysis, celebrity event photos: "Chase Carey, the deputy chairman of News. Corp -- which co-owns Hulu -- says the popular online destination that carries TV programming, will start charging users, probably as soon as 2010, B&C reports."

Yes, that's not likely to fly. It just isn't that reliable a service, nor technologically as good as it should be for a pay site.

Programming like this is good, and can (maybe) supplement those sales on DVD and TV box sets -

or else hurt sales. But there seems on the horizon a time these won't be free online services...

Hulu started backpedaling on the announcement the next day. They know on which side their bread is buttered.

Now if people would start watching EASTWICK instead of CSI NEW YORK...
