Okay. Back when I was doing that sort of thing I arrested a guy for trying to cash a forged check. He had fled the scene, but he was easy to find because he left his Driver's License (with his picture on it) behind, and he had a scar running diagonally acrosshis face that made him very easy to identify. When we got to court, is lawyer, who must have had balls of solid brass, said he wanted to bring in a surprise witness who would only testify if promised immunity. In exchange for immunity, the "surprise witness" would testify that it was he who tried to pass the check!
