I'm unfamiliar with Tom McCarthy, but his savage review of the Tintin movie confirms my worst fears about the film, and encapsulates everything I hate about cgi animation (especially mo-cap). Quote: "When all you're looking at is pixels being shunted around a screen by some nerd in post-production, none of it counts."
