I've read 14 of the 25. I had to laugh about THE GODFATHER being the Number One business book! My favorite book on the list is KINGS OF INFINITE SPACE by James Hynes. Very clever book!

SEVERANCE PACKAGE is a great choice. Jackie would probably mention the omission of THE CARPETBAGGERS, which she learned about a proxy fight.

An oldie-but-a-goodie: Sincerely, Willis Wayde by John Marquand. Although written over 60 years ago, it shows that corporate takeovers, plant shut-downs, and outsourcing (even when not called that) are nothing new.

Deb is right about John Marquand's novels displaying many business principles especially in SINCERELY, WILLIS WAYDE (Boston, Little Brown, and London, Hale, 1955). Marquand is a very underrated writer. If he's remembered at all, it's usually for his MR. MOTO mystery novels.
