Disney comics. Disney movies. Other Disney media.

Now, I really love Uncle Scrooge comics. For over two decades, since early days in used bookshops and in college getting GLADSTONE reprints about two years before I was out of school, these and Donald Duck stories were the ones I remember with most fond recollection.

Even my Dad likes Uncle Scrooge, and Little Lulu and said he read the comics (they were cost of one dime per book) sitting in the dentist office or eye-doctor office.

Now, I have seen Disney movies, but I get two feelings. Part of me feels "They did a pretty good job - I enjoyed the story"; I get such a feeling with some PIXAR films. Another part is "I am not supposed to enjoy this, this is formula, nothing original Disney made this to make money" and it makes me wonder at ALL the lunchboxes, posters, and ended DVD reissues and Blu-ray new pressings that are in any store in any major city. The fact that they would treat artist as work-for-hire does not come as a suprise but it is a sad thought to ponder.
