Great minds really do think alike. I thought of all of those. Not to mention Endless Sleep.

Although Endless Sleep is more of a saved-from-death song.

What about Bloodrock's "D.O.A."--a creepy song from my junior high school years about a plane crash? Just thinking about it gives me the heebee-jeebees. Then there was the song about the miners who resort to cannibalism after a cave-in. I think that was called "Timothy." On a lighter note, there was "Hello, This Is Joni," about a guy who keeps calling his dead girlfriend's number so he can hear her voice on the answering machine. What about "Run, Joey, Run," where a boy gets a girl pregnant and she darts in front if him and takes the bullet intended for him that her Dad fired?

/1970s AM radio. There's nothing better.

Also, "Where oh where can my baby be/The Lord took her away from me." Isn't that "The Last Kiss"?

Right, "Last Kiss" by J. Frank Wilson and I can't believe I forgot that. I have a great CD with all of those on it including Timothy (they ate him, right?). It also has possibly the single sickest song I've ever heard, but so hilarious that if you have a twisted sense of humor like mine you'll love it.

It starts as a sort of parody of "Last Kiss" ("over there was my baby...and over there was my baby") and get really weird after that. It's called "I Want My Baby Back" by Jimmy Cross and the CD is Last Kiss: Songs of Teen Tragedy.

It also has "Patches" by Dickey Lee and "Rocky" by Austin Roberts.

Oops - Timothy isn't on the CD but the others are.

OK, here it is.

Don't say you weren't warned. (And ignore the pictures of Sal Mineo.)

Thanks, Jeff, but I can't ignore Sal Mineo.
