I recently started collecting these. All the ones I have are post war novels, but I'd like to read some pre WWII entries, if only to compare them to the Mr Moto books.

I had this book (loved the cover) but never read it.

I've read several of Mason's books, but not this one.

Didn't Mason update these early novels when they came out in paperback, the way they took the "chums" and "roadsters" out of the early Hardy Boys books? I've read a few of the early ones in their original editions and thought they were pretty good. Mason was a top-notch writer most of the time.

I think I've heard that updating story before. I've never read the early ones in their original editions, though. I enjoyed the Col. North novels I read back in the '60s.
