Whenever I see an article like this, I inevitably think of Michael Moriarty's performance in that utter piece of cheese, "Q." In one of his greatest anecdotes, Roger Ebert wrote about an exchange he had with Q's producer, legendary schlockmeister Samuel Z. Arkoff. Roger said, "Sam, in the middle of this drek, you have a fabulous method-acting performance by Michael Moriarty." To which Arkoff replied, "Yeah--the drek was my idea."
