I have to disagree. All of the other "asterisk" problems discussed in the article were out of the control of the players: Hank Aaron could not control the fact that the seasons were several games longer when he played than when Babe Ruth played, for example; but the players who took steroids made the choice to take them, even knowing they were banned and would give the user an unfair advantage over those who didn't use steroids.
