Feral hogs symbolize Sheriff Rhodes continual fight against both crime and the encroaching realities of a modern rural economy.

Wild hogs are elusive and dangerous. Hog hunters have to be both wily and patient and strike fast to succeed. Even then only one or two hogs are caught most of the passel escapes. Rhodes will continue to battle against violent crime knowing that he can only win some of the time.

Hogs destroy the fields and farmland of Blacklin County as declining economic conditions lead to crumbling buildings and rising unemployment. Growing hog herds grow seem unstoppable with no solution in sight.

I think you deserve an A for that, Gerard. I'll put it on your transcript.
