Ancillary Justice was a very polarizing noel, apparently. Many loved it, many found it unreadable. Seems odd such a novel would win, but it became the darling of the "critics".

It's been winning a lot of awards. Makes me curious. Maybe I'll check it out.

Re Richard - If it's the darling of the critics, I probably won't like it, but she's a new author to me so I'll probably give it a try 8-)
I've found most of Delaney's stuff of ~ the last 30 years unreadable, but i don't begrudge him any awards if only because of "The Einstein Intersection" !

Bud, I'm with you on The Einstein Intersection. I really liked that book and even assigned it a couple of times to a class in literary criticism.
