Thank goodness that not only Lucy and Desi (and Robert Heinlein's PROJECT MOONBASE along with his lit) would indulge in husbands spanking their wives in a manner meant to be not at all a sex-game, but just the Natural Order, Rule of Thumb style (and as funny as all get out). (Well, it was two military officers in the Heinlein...I have to wonder how many female officers were corporally punished, since conveniently none of them were enlisted women for the longest time.)
