I've been to quite a few of them of course.

1. Daunt is not far from Oxford Street and Regents Park (well, it's walkable).
4. I first went to Foyle's in 1971. I always found their system nutty. Books (paperbacks at least) were separated by publisher, so you'd have to go through all of them to find something if you didn't know who published it - not that it was a hardship. Then you'd take it to the desk and they'd give you a receipt to take to the pay desk. Then you'd bring that back and get your books.
5. Cecil Court is a narrow alley between Charing Cross Road and St. Martin's Lane in the theatre district that has several - mostly pricy - bookshops.
6. I've bought books from that corner store on Charing Cross Road but it may have had a different name then. Like many along there you go down a narrow staircase to the basement where there are more books. It's next to what used to be 84, Charing Cross Road.
7. I've only gone to the Forbidden Planet on Broadway in NYC.

Some others are new since I was last there.

I had a feeling you'd be familiar with a lot of them.

I think I've been in three, but I'm counting Foyle's old store, not the one that recently opened next door to the old location. I'm surprised they left off Any Amount on Charing Cross Road. I haven't been to London for four years, but on my next trip I won't have the big desire to visit Charing Cross Road now that Murder One and SportsPages are gone. Some of the stores on Cecil Court that Jeff mentioned are not very welcoming.
