And your New York City list of 6/2/65 (Jackie on the way to DC? Possibly) -

1 1 WOOLY BULLY - Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs
2 3 BACK IN MY ARMS AGAIN - The Supremes
3 15 MR. TAMBOURINE MAN - The Byrds
4 4 HELP ME, RHONDA - The Beach Boys
5 7 DARLING TAKE ME BACK - Lenny Welch
6 19 I CAN’T HELP MYSELF - The Four Tops
7 8 JUST A LITTLE - The Beau Brummels
8 6 CONCRETE AND CLAY - The Unit Four Plus Two
9 11 WONDERFUL WORLD - Herman’s Hermits
10 13 I DO - The Marvelows

When we were young (back then), I remember that last group being pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. When I hear it now, they emphasize the first. Which is correct? In any case, I've always loved that song.

What the World Needs Now Is Love by Jackie DeShannon jumped from 40 to 15 that week, and Satisfaction went from nowhere to #22. Also, Cara Mia by Jay & the Americans jumped from 54 to 25.

The whippersnappers now don't know from MarVELows. That's what I called them and still do. This is a great Top 10.
