Actually, I was just thinking about the horizontal and vertical hold on the television. At one point the channel changing dial broke on an old television and I had to use a pliers to change the channel.

Most of this stuff is either still true, inaccurate or silly. Maybe it's intended as a joke? The clock on my wrist is round, with numbers and pointers and that. My phone has a base unit and a handset, and there's a bell in it. "On Line" comes not from the cables connecting computers but from telephone "lines" which still exist. I could go on, but why? If this had been written in 30 or 40 years, maybe it wouldn't be so silly.
