It's not the most frequently purchased car, it's the one that is purchased more there (as a % of cars) than in other states. So if the BMW 760 accounts for 1% of LA car sales, but 0.1% elsewhere, it's purchased 10 times more frequently (as a % of car sales) than elsewhere.

The one for Oregon is wrong. There are more Subarus here than just about anything except the usual Toyota-Ford-Chevy.

BMW 760 in Louisiana? I see more pickup trucks here than any other type of vehicle.
