GQ Magazine food writer Alan Richman singles out Mortadella Pie from Great Lake pizzeria at 1477 West Balmoral Avenue as having the best he's tasted after traveling 20,000 miles searching for the perfect pie."

I've been startled and disgusted to not be able to find better than Not Bad in Philadelphia since Savas closed, so am glad to have two leads in this extremely Italian city (a couple of us around the office blame the mindset that calls red sauce "gravy").

Totonno's in Coney Island (not really my favorite but an icon) recently (partially) burned down and you'll have to wait until they finish rebuilding to eat there.
