The writer who keeps giving other writers his ms. for a little feedback. I got one of those in my life.

Article lists TYPES of writers. I want individual names!

Fears of libel must be preventing it.

Another list you're not on, Bill.

Hm. I might approach two of them too closely. Though my fave who isn't quite represented is the variant on the cocky assignment vacuum, the would-be cocky assignment vacuum and other similar people too cool to be polite (one seemed to genuinely resent specifically that my first story had been Honorably Mentioned, though not reprinted, in a BOTY). Saw a bit too much of that (if, happily, only a few prime examples each) at both the 2001 world conventions (PhilCon and Bouchercon) and from time to time since at similar gatherings, and number them among the people I've never quite been able to take too seriously since.

There are always a few prime examples, Todd, but generally writers are fine folks.

That has certainly been my experience.
