I've been intrigued by this for several years now ever since I got a copy of the digital file of the manuscript. I think I just got a clue, though, while looking at the article. I realized that the letters in the print, at a glance, remind me of how print sometimes looks without my glasses. Maybe we need an optometrist to help with this!
