And Somewhere the Fourth Horseman Just Saddled Up

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer announces new gender swap version: In honor of the 10th anniversary of her best-selling vampire romance, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has written a 442-page reimagining of the novel that made her a publishing sensation. This time around, she’s switched the genders of her protagonists. Yes, it’s true. In the new tale titled Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, Bella Swan is now a boy named Beau (short for Beaufort) and the brooding Edward Cullen isnow Edythe.

I just saw this news and am amazed at the stupidity of it all.

Is it going to be just as well written as the original, because...as I recall Bill called it the worst written book he'd ever finished.

I'll pass on this one, for sure. It will sell millions without my help.

In other words, she saddles up the one-trick pony again.

/had to read TWILIGHT, was working in a junior high library at the time. Book seemed designed to groom girls to be submissive doormats for control-freak boyfriends. Yes, just what adolescent girls need!!

I'll let you read this one to see how that works out in it.

Thanks Bill--you're all heart.

We'll expect a full report.

That's the best she could think of to do as a follow-up? Did she just use the FIND AND REPLACE command on her word processor? What's next? Fifty Shades of Blue, with the people in switched genders? Or Maybe a YA series called The Hardy Girls? They could just change Frank and Joe to Francine and Jo. Why the possibilities are endless. How about a series featuring Sheriff Donna Rhodes?

And Deb, I also am looking forward to the in-depth report.

Great idea, Rick. But I'm going with Danielle instead of Donna. I need to get started right away.
