Looking forward to scooping one up when it comes available on Amazon. While a SH fan since high school and a member of Bay Area scions for decades, I began my trek into other mysteries (other than the Hardy Boys as a kid) in my early 20's with Christie and Queen. I flew into NYC in the late 70's to play chess at the famous Manhattan Chess Club before I drove North to New England to visit my family and boyhood roots. I stumbled upon Otto's bookstore while walking to the chess club, and the rest is history as to mysteries and fandom exploding in my life. Otto's NYC Bouchercon in the 80's was one of my favorites, where I met John D. Macdonald and of course many others… His former lovely wife Caroline mistook me for Ken Follet, which I got a kick out of. I even gave up my banquet ticket ( & Steven King's appearance) to join the DAPA gang at Jeff & Jackie's house in Brooklyn for Spaghetti and the camaraderie, taking my first and only ride on the NY subway. Good to see Otto still getting good books out.

Roy, we were recently discussing that dinner in Brooklyn. Bill was reminiscing about Ellen Nehr trying to get a taxi driver willing to take her to Brooklyn.

As Bill would say, I miss the old days.
