Happy Birthday, Frances Crider!

My mother's birthday was pretty much ruined by another big event that happened on this date in 1963.  You oldsters will remember what I'm talking about and exactly where you were when you heard the news.  I'm not going to dwell on that, however.  I'm just going to remember my beautiful mother. She's in the red blouse, second row.

That's a great picture.

Yes, I remember where I was (high school). It was Friday and my birthday was coming up on Sunday. In some ways, things have never been quite the same since then.

My Grandmother and my brother both shared Pearl Harbor Day as a birthday. Of course, my brother wasn't born until years after the actual day.

My best friend was also born on November 22...He and I were also at our high school in 1963.

I like the gal in the back boldly surprising the guy with a smooch!

I was only six and still living in England, but I remember they had an assembly at school and told us the American president had been shot.

My sister’s birthday is September 11. She was active duty military then and was taking a few days leave to celebrate her birthday when 9-11 happened. Needless to say, she was immediately called back to work.

My niece’s birthday is August 29–The day Hurricane Katrina hit us. Somehow, it’s easier to forget natural disasters over time than man-made ones.

You and Judy look great. I do like Angela's hair better now. Is that Allen?
